Sample from the script:
GENERAL GAGE: (Bowing extravagantly to audience.) General Thomas Gage at your service. I'm just here to do a job: to enforce the Intolerable Acts. That means closing the port of Boston to trade and taking over the government of the colony. Some people may think I'm a kind of dictator, but I'm actually a really nice man.
SAMUEL ADAMS and JOHN HANCOCK: (Together.) Boo!
GENERAL GAGE: (Looking around the stage in confusion.) Who said that?
(Enter REDCOAT 1 and 2 followed by PAUL REVERE observing them from behind a newspaper with a hole cut for the eyes. Redcoat 2 carries a letter.)
REDCOAT 1: General, we've just received this top secret letter from the Earl of Dartmouth in London.
REDCOAT 2: It's completely, 100%, for your eyes only. So, don't ask us what it says.
GENERAL GAGE: What does it say?
REDCOAT 2: You're to disarm the rebels by seizing their hidden weapons in Concord and to arrest their leaders: Samuel Adams and John Hancock. (Pause.) But, I really wouldn't know what's in the letter because it's a secret. (Hands General Gage the letter.)
REDCOAT 1: Neither would I. (Pointing at Paul Revere.) It's that man again, Sergeant! I'm sure he's watching us and probably listening to our conversation.
PAUL REVERE: No, I'm not!
REDCOAT 2: See, there's nothing to worry about. Let's return to barracks for a nice game of cricket. Woo-hoo!
