Purchased script copy will be provided for a buyer for the purpose of preparing a performance made to paying or non-paying audiences.
The play script may be performed publicly in whole or in part up to 3 times within 4 years from the purchase of the script copy.
Public reading - readers' theatre - is also deemed a public performance.
Public workshop (e.g. at summer camps) is considered a public performance in case the play is performed by workshop attendees in front of the people not attending the workshop (spectators).
The name of Robert Reed as the author of the play has to be credited on all performance promotional and other materials.
In general, if you wish to tour with the play or perform the play publicly more than 3 times, you need to contact us to obtain rights for additional performances.
We now also allow schools and theatres to purchase multiple items of a play script online to obtain rights for additional performances. E.g. if you plan to perform the play 9 times, you may buy 3 items of that particular play script. If we have not sent you the play script already, we will send you the script by email as one item. If you are planning 10-12 performances, you need to purchase 4 items. If this arrangement does not suit you, please contact us for an individual quote.
The buyer will be allowed to print and/or copy the script for cast, technicians and producers of the initial 3 performances (one copy/print-out per each member).
The copyright notice from the page 2 of the script must be preserved on all print-outs/copies of the script.
All the work contained in the scripts is copyrighted by the author Robert Reed. Unless permitted, all rights are strictly reserved.
No resale or redistribution of these print-outs/copies and no additional printing or copying is permitted without our permission. No parts of the scripts may be stored in an electronic retrieval system, recreated, re-sold, lent, hired out or otherwise transferred or circulated in electronic or other form, or by any means without the prior written consent of the author.
Uploading of the script onto the Internet constitutes a major breach of Robert Reed's copyright.
Uploading of the script into an electronic database, including, without limitation, school Intranets and library databases, is strictly prohibited.
Any person and organization who does any unauthorized act in relation to this work or allows others to do so may be liable to criminal prosecution and civil claims for damages.
We allow the performer to make minor changes in the script for the initial three licensed performances of the playscript. That does not constitute the right to adapt the play or create derivative works or present the work as his/her own. Robert Reed has to be credited as the one and only author of the play. The play title may not be changed.
We allow the performer one video or audio copy of any of the first three licensed performances of the play script. Permission and/or licenses from us will need to be obtained to upload the video or audio files onto the Internet or to distribute, broadcast or stream the video or audio in any way by any means, or allow others to do so, for both profit or non-profit activities.
Inform us prior to loading the performance audio / video to the Internet.*
By uploading the performance video into youtube.com you allow us to embed the video into our site's code and display the video on our site for marketing and promotional purposes.
Some of the music suggested in the play scripts' production notes may be under copyright. Rights to play the suggested music are not included in our play scripts. The buyer will have to obtain all necessary licences or use royalty-free music.
We do not provide any music files, music CDs or music sheets with our play scripts.
We deliver the scripts by email and we do not charge postage, packing or handling for deliveries.
To receive scripts by post, please contact us to enquire about the postage and packing price. Unless arranged otherwise, we post the copy of the script on the CD.
In the unlikely event you decide the play does not suit the needs of your performance group or in case you are not happy with the script in any other way, we provide a full hassle- free money back guarantee. We do not charge any administration costs or any other fees for returns. In such a case, inform us within 14 days of receipt.
